Kicking June Gloom
We were on a good weather streak, but June Gloom has officially descended in North County San Diego. After a week of socked in fog (gloom/marine layer), a lot of us are finding reasons to run errands and venture out on field trips to the East. Julian for the weekend anyone? Avocado hunt in Fallbrook? All in all, we’ve been having a good run so I can’t complain to much. And in the words of Anthony J. D’Angelo, “Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine”
PS – For anyone else who has had the outlet socket issue I wrote about in Thursday’s Heart Shaped Pizza post…here is this helpful (and accurate) explanation from my Mamma (boy don’t I feel silly, problem solved). She’s so smart and pretty. Not to mention…how cute is this email? Thanks Mom!!!
You may already have figured this out. The top of a wall socket is often wired to the room’s switch so you can turn on a lamp via the wall on/off switch. So…that’s why the darn top of the socket doesn’t emit power unless the wall switch is in the on position–do it all the time!! I love the heart-shaped pizza. Could you ask M to do one in the shape of a Christmas tree for this year’s celebration? Merci!!
Since it’s gloomy, here are some pinspirations to bring some sunshine and color to the day. Now, off for a beach run and sun dance! Happy Saturday♥
